Develop a fighter’s mindset

I am constantly visualizing defeating my opponent months before our fight even takes place. You too should use visualization as a tool for self-defense. Address your fears before you are confronted with them to train you mind to react quickly under the intense stress of an assault.

Imagine yourself in a dangerous situation and visualize what actions you might take to survive and escape. Mental preparation while you are in a safe environment is the key.

This type of visualization drill has to be done on a regular basic to be effective. Try to do it daily for a few minutes whenever you have some spare time.

Thanks for the advice Jeff. I have a question i would love for you to answer-it appears that fighters that are participating in fights on the reservation are being fined and suspended for competing. Why then are individuals that are helping promote these “illegal” shows not being punished in a similar manner

I’ve seen some of the IQMMA fighters fighting on other cards after they have fought on the reserve.

I think if fighters have been suspended it’s because that commission may think or have been told that the IQMMA is an unsactioned event, not that it’s illegal.

Did you get a chance to check out the IQMMA events? I commentated at a few and thought they were very well run.

Now I’m banned from commentating anywhere else…

Just kidding, that would be strange.
