The Iceman is coming to the “Slammer in the Hammer!”

Chuck Liddell signs on as a special guest for this historic MMA event being held at Copps Coliseum.

Who better to introduce this “Slammer in the Hammer” to Hamilton than Chuck Liddell, the man who’s been called the face of mixed martial arts.

With four title defenses against some of the top light heavyweights of all time –Randy Couture, Wanderlei Silva, Tito Ortiz, Vitor Belfort and Alistair Overeem–, Chuck Liddell is the best 205-pound fighter in the history of the sport.

UFC Vet and promoter Jeff Joslin states “Having Chuck Liddell be part of the first ever MMA event in Hamilton is a fantastic thing. His appearance at our June 17th event adds one more level of excitement to what is already shaping up to be a stellar premiere event in our city.”

Jeff Joslin is pleased to announce that the fight card is nearly completed and the following bouts are in the final stages of approval with the Ontario Athletic Commission.

This weekend I’m in St. John’s, Newfoundland at St. John’s BJJ teaching a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu seminar. Here’s a technique that I taught the guys out here on the first day of training. You can use this move in Gi, No-Gi and MMA training.

I’m off to eat and then it’s back to the gym for day 2.

I’ll post again soon!
