I had a lot of fun and Connie asked some great questions about the sport and was very easy to talk with.

I recently was asked by the Hamilton Ticats to be the MC for a press conference where they announced sponsoring UFC 129 fighter Mark Hominick.

It was a fun day and it’s great to see the Ticats supporting our sport and MMA athletes like Mark.

Here’s some video taken that day by the fight network.

Just wanted to wish everyone a happy Easter weekend!

I’m sitting in the middle of mountains of chocolate as I write this: Mint Aero bubbles to my left and M&M’s to my right. My kids are going to be hyper tonight!

Anyways, in celebration of the holiday I’m offering my most popular training workshop –other than the MMA QuickStart Training Program– , “Striking Head Movement” at 50% off it’s regular price.

In this 32 video training workshop I breakdown some of my most dangerous and effective head movement techniques including the exact same ones I’ve used with great success against Jon Fitch (in the video below) and many other fighters throughout my pro career.

Click on the button below to take advantage of the deal before it ends (in 48 Hours!)

Early this morning I got back after a fun night in Port Huron Michigan.

A small crew of us –Kevin, Mike, Antonio, and I–headed down with our fighter Steve Bingham and his family to the Border Wars mixed martial arts event.

Steve, who was going into the fight with a 4-1 amateur record, fought in the main event against undefeated (3-0) fighter, George Abdallah from Adrenalin Training Center in London, Ontario.

Watching some of George’s previous fights, we had a strong feeling that he would try to attempt to use a thai style clinch in an attempt to knee Steve in the body and face. He had done exactly that really well in his previous victories.

We drilled many counters to that type of clinch and it definately paid off. Steve showed some good composure throughout the fight, landing some crisp strikes and reacted like a friggin Ninja to catch the armlock submission after only 32 seconds.

Here’s the fight vid…

It’s been too long!

Too long since I posted a new MMA technique. I’ve been so busy with the new “Slammer in the Hammer” mixed martial arts event I’m promoting –on June 17th at Copps Coliseum in Hamilton– along with all of the other coaching I’ve been doing.

But I’m back and I promise to be back posting new, cool and useful stuff regularly.

In this video I show one way that I use often to work my way back to my feet from the closed guard position.

Check it out!

This Email Made me Smile!

Every time I receive an email with feedback from people saying they enjoy my training videos or my MMA QuickStart training program, I get a smile from ear to ear.

Mainly because that’s exactly what I wanted to accomplish through the creation of my videos and training programs: To help people improve at the fastest rate possible.

Here’s the last email I received from one of my online students named Charles that made me feel great when I read it.

Here’s the program that Charles has been doing – MMA QuickStart
